Every year, thousands of girls everywhere in the world strut their stuff for a chance to go to Modelland. Modelland is a model boarding school build on top of a HUGE mountain. Tookie never wanted to go to Modelland--she didn't even enter the contest-- but she miraculously got chosen by the most famous Intoxibella, one of the few who graduated from Modelland. Tookie, with her afro hair, mismatched eyes, and massive forehead, will travel to Modelland with three other girls, who like Tookie don't seem to be cut out for Modelland. Dark rumors are starting about why Tookie and her new friends got into Modelland. None of them are pleasant. Modelland is ready for them...but are they ready for Modelland?

*WARNING* If you are a fan of Tyra Banks you might want to stop reading now.
WHO LET A SUPERMODEL WRITE A BOOK?!?!? Letting Banks write this book was possibly the worst idea in the world. This book is set in a messed up world. The whole plot is about thousands of girls and boys fighting to be the "prettiest" model in the world. I don't know about you, but I would not want to live in that world. The book tells teens that if you are pretty you can get everything in life, even superpowers. There was not even the cliché message to be yourself and you will be accepted. Instead, the main character completely changed her style to be "pretty" and then she was actually acknowledged.
The book is also horribly confusing. Banks is trying to combine hundreds of worlds into one book, but only talented authors can do that. The characters were weird, and not in the good way. Even their names are weird, I mean who came up with Tookie? She also managed to create an awkward, unrealistic, and naïve romance. Overall, this superficial book sucked. I will give it two stars, but it did not even deserve that.
